Illness and Emotional Connection
Painful childhood memories, anguish over the loss of a loved one, the devastation of a marriage or relationship breakup, the horror of physical or sexual violation—we all carry emotional baggage to varying degrees. Who hasn't experienced some form of rejection, betrayal, suffering, failure, shame, longing, remorse, loss of self-esteem, or sorrow?
It's easier to believe there's a way to escape heartbreak, that we can avoid pain while gaining nothing in terms of fullness and joy. I've learned throughout my life that it's not the pain that hurts us the most; it's our resistance to pain that wears us out. We try to avoid it, battle it, run away from it, ignore it, or bury it.
Emotions are just a type of energy that flows through your body like electricity. Pain, fear, sadness, disappointment, panic, anxiety, wrath, and desire, for example, shock your body like an electrical charge, producing lesions throughout your brain pathways and disrupting your body's natural energy flow. "Trapped emotions" is a term used to describe them. Back pain, migraines, asthma, abdominal pain, allergies, cancer, chest pain, chronic fatigue, constipation, infertility, irritable bowel syndrome, joint pain, knee pain, sinus difficulties, PTSD, and many more symptoms can result from these imprisoned emotions. Because repressed emotions, like the rest of the body, are constituted of energy, they have an effect on the physical tissues.
Getting rid of bottled-up negative emotions makes it easier for the body to heal physically. There are a variety of charts that link emotions to body parts, such as rage being associated with the liver. Lungs are related to sadness and other negative emotions. To help my clients identify and release negative emotional feelings, difficulties, hang-ups, and baggage, I use the Emotion Code chart as well as the Body Code system. These trapped feelings can prevent people from experiencing love and happiness, as well as making them feel isolated from others.
Recognizing that it's time to get to the root of your, your child's, or even your pet's problems and eliminate their underlying causes can aid in the resolution of issues.
Your recognition that previous emotional baggage is lowering your standard of living can now allow you to take steps to improve your overall success.
